The Deep – Hull
The Deep is a public aquarium situated in Hull on the Humber Estuary.
The exhibits contain thousands of sea creatures (including seven species of shark), 2,500,000 litres of water and 87 tonnes of salt housed in a purpose built building.

Tractor Run - Harrogate
In March 2024 around 350 tractors set off from Harrogate to Pateley Bridge then
back to Knaresborough on a 40 mile run, in aid of Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

The National Centre for Birds of Prey hosted the annual Raptor Fair in June 2022 and is situated at the magnificent Duncombe Park estate in Helmsley.
Set within the world famous North York Moors National Park.

Studley Royal Park and the ruins of Fountains Abbey is a World Heritage Site in North Yorkshire. A medieval deer park, where St.Mary's church stands, is home to between 300 – 350 deer.

Bempton Cliffs - East Coast Yorkshire
Bempton Cliffs is on the spectacular Yorkshire coast and is home to one of the UK's top wildlife spectacles. Around half a million seabirds gather here between March and October on towering chalk cliffs which overlook the North Sea.

Winter Quarantine
...it's now March 2021 and still many restrictions apply, restaurants, pubs, entertainment venues and golf clubs closed – but there is light at the end of the tunnel with 25 million people in the uk having had the Oxford-astrazenica vaccine as of mid-march. I've had my first jab and waiting for the second.
so as not to forget the workings of my camera I have trying out various things to shoot (and to avoid getting totally bored !)– hope you enjoy.

Quarantine Garden – 2020
On March 23, prime minister Boris Johnson announced unprecedented limits on where and
how people can meet and gather during the coronavirus pandemic - Covid 19.
The lockdown officially started the next day.
Housebound, due to the lockdown I found myself exploring the garden and skies
– here are a few examples of images to alleviate any boredom.

Mallorca
Mallorca is the largest island of Spain and has two mountainous regions, the Serra de Tramuntana and Serres de Llevant. Both are about 43 miles in length and occupy the northwestern and eastern parts of the island respectively. We spent a week at Port de Sóller which is a village and the port of the town of Sóller.

Staverley Nature Reserve
The reserve is part of a larger area known as Staveley Carrs, has been renowned for rare plants for centuries. Today, this large, site has been sculpted through quarrying activities followed by decades of work by Yorkshire Wildlife Trust and dedicated volunteers.
